“Thriller” classes, 7-9 p.m. in Dancers’ Workshop studios. Climb out of your grave and join other Halloween-loving ghouls to learn or bone up on the moves to Michael Jackson’s undying music video to “Thriller.” Class will also run Oct. 21 and Oct. 28, with a costumed zombie crawl through downtown Jackson to wrap it all up. Dancers’ Workshop hosts the famed New York City company for a performance of “(A)Way Out of My Body,” with breathtaking lighting and visual design by theater-maker Andrew Schneider and an original score by the company’s four-person house band. Colleen Friday: Confluence/Nonoono’wu’, 6-8 p.m., Oct. 20 Center for the Arts. A Northern Arapaho artist and ecosystem scientist from Arapahoe, Wyoming, Friday traces her first artistic influences to her mother and older sisters’ beadwork and the intense discipline of sorting and stitching during evening hours around a table of Native women. Friday works in many mediums, from beads and stencils to aerosol mural painting, mixing elements of contemporary art and street art with geometric Arapaho symbols and portraits of historical figures. Eighth annual Wyoming Snow and Avalanche Workshop, 12:15 p.m. Oct. 21, 8:30 a.m. Oct. 22 in Center Theater. Teton County Search and Rescue Foundation hosts expert speakers and panel discussions to talk about lessons learned over a lifetime working in the snow safety industry. Topics will include an analysis of the stages of rescue, what inclusion looks like in the guiding industry, current research in the snow science field and case studies of avalanche incidents. Jesse Dayne and The Sagebrush Drifters, 7 p.m. Oct. 21-22 at Dad’s Bar and Steakhouse in Thayne. The Sagebrush Drifters draw influence from outlaw greats like Merle and Waylon and drive it with rock, red dirt and honky-tonk. Jesse Dayne’s unique and soulful vocals, combined with the twang of the pedal steel and the grit of the telecaster guitar, form a powerhouse of satisfying country music.

A Night at Hogwarts, 7- 9 p.m. Oct. 29 at Teton County Library. Popular after-hours event brings the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (and Forbidden Forest) alive for kids ages 8-17 with a sorting hat ceremony, Hogwarts classes, a few brooms and lots of magical details.
